Networking event “Active Democracy Pathways”

Participants from Greece, Portugal, Lithuania and Italy.

The networking event “Active Democracy Pathways” aimed to strengthen youth organizations across Europe by promoting collaboration, civic engagement, and democratic participation. Organized by Youth Line Greece and co-funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ KA2 project “Pathways to Active Democracy: Cultivating European Engagement Among Young People”, the event focused on creating space for youth workers and NGO representatives to share experiences and co-create future projects.

Through interactive workshops, networking activities, and peer learning sessions, participants explored key topics such as youth participation, European values, inclusive democracy, and effective project development. The program encouraged meaningful dialogue, creative idea generation, and the development of practical skills in areas like communication, fundraising, and project management.

Taking place in Corfu, the event also offered a rich intercultural experience. Participants celebrated their diverse backgrounds during cultural evenings, where they shared stories, music, traditions, and national identities. These moments fostered mutual understanding and stronger partnerships across borders.

By the end of the event, participants felt more connected, inspired, and equipped to lead impactful youth work in their communities. The experience helped lay the foundation for new Erasmus+ collaborations that support active, inclusive, and democratic participation among young people in Europe.
