Youth Line
Our team have participated and organised many
initiatives within the field of developing of skills and competences, many of
which included young people as participants or target groups but some of which
included them as co-organisers, assistants or volunteers as well.
Our team has a network of contacts, gained during these activities, of young people, minorities, as well as youth workers whose specific situation or knowledge can be put to good use within this project. Moreover we have really positive experience in organising youth projects, we know all the stages and always do everything as effective and responsible as possible. We care about our reputation, about our partners, about our participants and about our donors.
In spite of content of our projects, we spend a lot of recourses for organising and reporting. And surely we are oriented not only to achieve the best results, moreover we tend to share the information about our achievements and to make our results more useful in a long-term perspective.

Youth Exchange "My strong mental health"
Participants from Germany, Latvia, Greece, Czech Republic, Turkey
Mental health problems and psychological distress are important drivers of suicide among adolescents and youngsters in the EU. Over 1 500 15-19 year-olds died of suicide across EU countries in 2019, and most of these deaths were among boys. Despite the relatively low absolute number of suicides among adolescents,
suicide is one of the leading causes of death in this age group.
In 2020, the overall costs related to mental ill-health are estimated to have exceeded 5% of GDP across the 28 EU countries. This equates to more than EUR 680 billion. Studies have found that about 25% of young people between 16 and 24 feel anxiety or stress at least once a day. This is a very important phase of life, where we define personality, finish high school, choose the course, and then finally enter the world of work. In schools or at home, we are not taught to manage our stress, but as an important tool, we should learn to manage it. That is why Youth Line Germany has started developing and associating itself with projects in the areas of mental health, sports, and meditative practices. We believe that there is a set of tools that can help us build and prepare for our future in a sustainable and healthy way for our bodies.

Taxes and financial regulations in Portugal
Unfortunately, there is a lot of frightening information on the Internet about double taxation for Ukrainians in Portugal. At the webinar organised by the project from Ukraine to Portugal, the accountant Susana Velasquez answered all the questions and helped to fully understand the taxation issue. More than 100 people registered for the webinar and more than 60 people were online at the same time. If you were unable to attend but this is also a concern for you, a video recording is already available at the link:

Youth Exchange "Boost your financial literacy"
Youth Line Porugal
Financial literacy is a core life skill for participating in modern society. Children and youth are growing up in an increasingly complex world where they will eventually need to take charge of their own financial future. There are plenty of decisions involving a financial element throughout a person’s lifetime, be it financing university studies, using payment cards, buying a car in instalments, making investments, taking out a mortgage, taking out insurance or saving for retirement. The main aim of this Youth Exchange is to improve participants’ knowledge and skills of the youth of Europe in order to empower them to take the right decisions when managing their personal finances.

Youth Exchange - "Upgrade your financial knowledge"
Ramava, Latvia
Financial literacy is a core life skill for participating in modern society. Children and youth are growing up in an increasingly complex world
where they will eventually need to take charge of their own financial future.
European surveys show that young adults have amongst the lowest levels of financial literacy. This is reflected by their general inability to
choose the right financial products and often a lack of interest in undertaking sound financial planning. Even from an early age, children need to develop the skills to help choose between different career and education options and manage any discretionary funds they may have, whether from allowances or part-time jobs. Other than a lack of financial literacy, a lot of people have a fear of money. It is often believed that being rich means being a bad person
or that money is a source of evil. On the other hand, there’s a widespread myth that money is an exclusive condition to access an amazing education, start a business or make a trip around the world. Limiting beliefs are creating a lot of obstacles to lead a prosperous life. We intend to show that one does not need a lot of money to have a great education, travel the world, or establish a company. We will be talking about what it means to be mentally rich, that this is a specific mindset plus a set of financial skills.

February 24, 2022…
This day has completely changed our lives before and after. Our YouthLine organization could not stay away, our thoughts, and hearts were filled with horror at what was happening in Ukraine.
So we decided to create the project www.fromUkranetportugal.com and help refugees, but we had no idea on what scale we would reach. Today the project has more than 3000 saved lives, and that’s not the limit. The war continues, some regions of Ukraine remain very hot and new families keep arriving in the hope of being rescued. Let’s support the Ukrainians together.
In what areas is the FromUkrainetoPortugal project supporting Ukrainian refugees?
100 days of war flew by very quickly, but we, together with our team, we're able to help a huge number of families.
Main activities:
1. Providing free temporary accommodation for a period of 1-3 months.
2. Finding and contracting paid accommodation for a period of 1 year.
3. furnishing flats with furniture and all the necessary household equipment.
4. Finding jobs for refugees and assistance in interviewing and legal support in concluding contracts.
5. Assistance in processing documents for temporary asylum and social benefits.
6. Free Portuguese lessons.
7. Registration of all arriving children in schools and kindergartens.
8. Food provision - every week our organization prepares food packages for the neediest families.
9. Health - each week we provide 3-4 consultations to the families in relation to hospital visits, prescriptions, visits to the dentist, optician, cardiologist, etc. As well as buying medication, glasses and other things.
10. Clothing - since a huge amount of clothes has been collected, all families have the opportunity to choose all the clothes they need,
11. Psychological assistance - about 60% of refugees from Ukraine were provided with psychological help and support in connection with the current critical situation.
12. we also work closely with realtors, residents of different cities, Junta da Freguesia, and address issues of Ukrainians who have turned to them for help.
